On Hitz FM via Phone call with Radio personality Andy Dosty, Stonebwoy breaks silence on a Mr. Drew’s music video “Eat” which features himself and has been deleted on YouTube by Rotimi over Copyright claims
Stonebwoy says he doesn’t want to be dragged into the mud because he did his verse for Mr Drew freely and selflessly.
He also explained that he only noticed the song was copied after he sent his verse to the Highly Spiritual team and after that did a follow up to let them know they must seek proper consent from Rotimi and his team before releasing the tune.
1Gad during the show said Mr Drew released the song without pressing him on it after he squeezed his busy schedule to feature in the video.
Stonebwoy reiterated that he was blind to the fact that the song was a cover, saying he only got to know it via his junior brother after recording and sending his part to Mr Drew.
He called on the management of Drew and Ghanaians to exempt his name from the ‘yawa’ because he is a non-controversial’ brand.
Drew has apologized to Stonebwoy.
